Many people ask, “How can Jediism be considered a religion?” By definition, a religion is a group of people united by a shared belief. For us, the Force is our religion. The Jedi path can be integrated with other world religions, and for many, that is their chosen path, which works for their life. However, Jediism is distinct in that it solely focuses on the Force; there are no gods or other religious beliefs involved. Jediism stands as its own religion, separate from any other. As Jedi, each of us follows our own unique path, meaning our beliefs and interpretations of the Jedi way can vary in many ways. At the core of Jediism, however, is the belief in the Force alone. On this website, you’ll find an explanation of what it means to be a Jedi and what it means to be a member of Jediism. We offer the foundation of the practice, but the individual is responsible for building upon that foundation to create their own understanding.
