The Hierarchy
A Clear Path Through the Community
01
Guest
Companion
A guest or interested participant who is exploring the community.
A Companion does not necessarily consider themselves a Jedi. They may be curious about the Jedi path, interested in becoming a Jedi, or simply participating as a friend of the Order.
02
Member
Laity
A member who identifies as Jedi and follows the core teachings.
Laity members consider themselves Jedi and seek to follow the Force, the Jedi Code, and the Jedi Truisms, but have not officially taken the Jedi Vow.
03
Vowed
Paladin
A Jedi who has taken the Jedi Vow.
A Paladin has formally adopted the Jedi Philosophy into their life through the Jedi Vow and is recognized as a vowed Jedi within the community.
04
Elder
Sage
A Jedi recognized for wisdom, experience, and steady judgment.
A Sage has proven themselves over time through wisdom, experience, service, and embodiment of the Jedi Philosophy.
Perspective
How the two parts work together
Hierarchy and positions are separate. A member’s hierarchy reflects commitment and growth, while a position reflects service, training, responsibility, and community need.
