The Jediism Way • thejediismway.net
Effective Date: April 28, 2026
These Community Guidelines explain how members are expected to conduct themselves on The Jediism Way, including forums, blogs, profiles, photo galleries, file uploads, chat rooms, private messages, Guilds, events, and the Kharis Institute of the Jedi Way. The spirit of these guidelines is simple: seek knowledge, practice respect, speak honestly, and remember that every person on the other side of the screen is still a person.
1. Our Community Spirit
The Jediism Way is intended to be a firm but friendly community for adults and mature learners who are exploring the Jedi path through study, discussion, reflection, service, and personal growth. We welcome thoughtful disagreement, sincere questions, and different perspectives. We do not require everyone to think alike, but we do expect members to treat one another with dignity. Our community is guided by values such as respect, patience, self-discipline, honesty, service, humility, compassion, knowledge, peace, and responsibility.
2. Debate Ideas, Not People
Discussions about philosophy, spirituality, religion, ethics, and personal practice can become passionate. Passion is welcome; personal attacks are not.
When debating, focus on the idea, text, claim, teaching, or argument being discussed. Do not attack the person making it. It is acceptable to say, “I disagree with that interpretation” or “I see that teaching differently.” It is not acceptable to insult, mock, belittle, threaten, or harass someone because of their view.
Members should challenge ideas with patience and reason, not with hostility. A strong community is not one where no one disagrees; it is one where disagreement is handled with discipline and respect.
3. Respectful Conduct
Members are expected to behave respectfully across all parts of the site, including public posts, blogs, comments, chat rooms, private messages, Guilds, events, and file/photo uploads.
The following behavior is not allowed:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or abuse
- Hate speech or discriminatory attacks
- Slurs of any kind, ever
- Doxxing or sharing another person’s private information
- Spam, scams, phishing, or deceptive activity
- Illegal content or illegal activity
- Sexually explicit content
- Graphic violence or content intended to shock or disturb
- Malware, viruses, malicious files, or harmful code
- Hacking, scraping, unauthorized access, or interference with site systems
- Impersonation or misleading identity claims
- Disruptive behavior in forums, chat, Guilds, events, or private messages
- Advertising, selling, fundraising, products, or services without admin approval
- Posting copyrighted material without permission
- Attempts to evade moderation, suspension, or bans
4. Language and Profanity
The Jediism Way is intended primarily for adults, and mild profanity may sometimes appear in natural conversation. However, because younger members may also be present, members should keep language generally family-friendly.
Profanity should not be directed at another person. Vulgar, sexually explicit, hateful, or aggressive language may be moderated. Slurs are never allowed.
5. Chat Room Expectations
Chat rooms follow the same standards as the rest of the site. Because chat is live and fast-moving, members should be especially mindful of tone and timing.
Do not flood chat, spam repeated messages, harass others, post sexual content, share private information, or use chat to continue arguments after a moderator has asked the discussion to stop.
Moderators may remove chat messages, restrict chat access, or take other action when needed.
6. Private Message Expectations
Private messages are not a place to avoid the rules. The same standards of respect apply in private messages as in public spaces.
Members may not use private messages to harass, pressure, threaten, solicit, scam, send sexual messages, repeatedly contact someone who has asked to be left alone, or push another member into off-site contact.
If you receive an abusive or inappropriate private message, report it to the site team. Private messages may be reviewed when necessary for safety, moderation, security, or legal reasons.
7. Guild Guidelines
Guilds are user groups within The Jediism Way. They may have their own focus, traditions, discussions, and activities, but they remain part of the larger community.
Guilds must follow all site-wide rules. Guild leaders and members are not above admins or moderators.
Guilds may not be used as hostile, exclusionary, hateful, deceptive, or rule-breaking spaces. Admins and moderators may moderate, restrict, rename, reorganize, or remove Guilds when needed.
8. Event Guidelines
Events may be online or in-person. Some may be created by The Jediism Way, while others may be created by users.
User-created events are not official events of The Jediism Way unless clearly marked as official. The Jediism Way does not assume responsibility for user-created events.
Events must be lawful, honest, respectful, and reasonably safe. Members should never be pressured to attend, share personal information, travel, meet privately, or participate in anything that makes them uncomfortable.
Admins and moderators may remove or restrict events that appear unsafe, misleading, inappropriate, or contrary to site rules.
9. Photos, Files, and Uploads
Photos, images, documents, and other uploads should be shared with care. Do not upload material that violates another person’s privacy, safety, copyright, or dignity.
You may not upload someone else’s photo without permission, copyrighted material you do not have permission to use, malware, private documents, sexually explicit images, violent or gore-based images, or images/files used for impersonation or deception.
Admins and moderators may remove uploads that violate these guidelines or create risk for the community.
10. Personal Links, Promotion, and AI Content
Members are welcome to share links to personal websites, channels, podcasts, and related projects when done honestly and respectfully.
Selling products or services, fundraising, advertising, or commercial promotion requires admin approval before posting.
AI-generated content is allowed, but it must be clearly marked as AI-generated or AI-assisted. Members should not present AI-generated work as entirely their own original human-created work.
11. The Kharis Institute of the Jedi Way
The Kharis Institute of the Jedi Way is part of the larger community and follows these same expectations.
Members participating in academy discussions or activities should treat lessons, reflections, assignments, and responses with seriousness and respect.
Academy materials are for personal learning only. They may not be reposted, sold, copied for redistribution, or published elsewhere without permission.
12. Moderation Philosophy
The Jediism Way aims for a laid-back and constructive moderation style. In most cases, the site team will try to work with members first, using reminders, guidance, and multiple warnings when appropriate.
The goal is not to punish honest mistakes. The goal is to preserve a healthy community and help members correct behavior before stronger action is needed.
However, serious issues may result in immediate suspension or ban. This includes threats, harassment, doxxing, slurs, sexual misconduct, illegal activity, malware, severe disruption, ban evasion, or behavior that creates a safety or security concern.
Admin decisions are final.
13. Possible Consequences
Depending on the situation, The Jediism Way may take one or more of the following actions:
The Jediism Way - Community Guidelines Page 3• Friendly reminder
- Formal warning
- Content edit or removal
- Temporary chat restriction or mute
- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent ban
- Guild or event restriction/removal
- Report to authorities if required or appropriate
14. Reporting Problems
If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, report it to the site team using the available site tools or contact the administrators.
Do not escalate conflicts publicly if a report or private message to the team would handle the matter better.
Members are encouraged to step back from heated situations and allow moderators to help when needed.
15. Final Word
The Jediism Way is built around learning, reflection, and community. We do not expect perfection, but we do expect effort, honesty, and respect.
Before posting, ask whether your words add clarity, kindness, knowledge, or useful challenge. Speak with courage, but also with discipline. Disagree when needed, but do not forget the person behind the post.
