Jediism for me in this day and age has been a huge help! There is so much chaos going on around right now and for me, I live in "the bible belt of the north" and with the state of things nationally right now it can be frustrating. Settling into the beliefs of Jediism just brings a sense of calm and it is so nice!! It's a very simple thought and feeling but just having the path behind me is very peaceful!

I'm amazed at how diverse interpretations of essentially the same source material can be. I guess it depends on when different groups started forming their foundations of thought in the Jedi Path.
Now the techie side of me is going to come out a bit but for anyone in the tech verse and know Linux, I think of Jediism and the Jedi path a lot like Linux, there are so many different flavors of Linux you can use. The underlying foundation is all the same for the most part but how it's built on top of that is what makes each flavor a little different. Jediism has a similar foundation but what you build on it gives you those different flavors. For those not in tech sorry for that..LOL. Actually, one of the references I used to use all the time was a houses foundation consists of many of the same things and concepts but everything built on top of that can be different and that's how you get each house being unique...for the most part..lol. I think I've been out in the sun too much today as that wording is not great so hopefully it makes sense..LOL.

With the source material expanding within Star Wars, groups can also drastically vary depending when they were originally influenced. I wish I could break down the sub groups of Jedi Realism more but I'll paste all the "sects" I have so far. Might start referring to different Jediism groups as "Orders", kind of like how Christianity has Denominations.

Created using the teachings of the Jedi, no declaration of religiousness, no formal structure
Ideologically Lead
Jedi Realist/Jedi Realism
Applies Jedi Teachings from Star Wars to life but not necessarily in a religious way
Jedi Pragmatism/Jedi Pragmatism
A sect of Jedi Realism created by Opie Macloed and continued through various successor groups
Esoteric Jediism
A self description of Jedi Realism used by the Jedi School group
Force Realist/ Force Realism
A group that incorporates multiple Force teachings from Star Wars It is not limited to Jedi Teachings. It was birthed within the Force Academy and extended to may successor groups. Generally nonreligious in nature
Secular Force Realism
An avowedly areligious grouping of Force Realism that promotes Star Wars writings to personal improvement teachings
Grey Realist/Grey Realism
A mostly nonreligious group using teachings based on Star War's grey Jedi Groups
Jensaarai Realism
A form of Jedi realism based on the Star Wars Jensaarai group
Jeditum
German Jedi Realist groups use this term to define themselves
Jedi Daosim
A combination of Jedi Precepts with traditional Daoism practiced by The New Jedi Order

Religious Jediism/Jediist
Relgious in nature, it uses the Jedi Teachings to guide themselves in a religious sense
Mystical Jediism
A religious form of Jediist thought usually with added esoteric and new age elements
