What helped you as you got started?

It can be hard for a newcomer as they come in sometimes to get going or even know where to start. What helped you out? I know one for me which is a driving force behind this site was just the kindness of many in the community!! Many of the members that created this community were still active when I started and they always had time for a chat or answering some questions and always did it with kindness. For me that was one the biggest pieces along with the amount of material that was available for reading up on the path. I have a bunch that I actually put together and printed out and I am planning to load them up once I get through the end of year craziness.
